The first workshops with themes "Transmission of Tradition" and "Living Heritage" were held on June 7, 2024, at the Bursa Cultural Route Festival and the second on June 26, 2024, at the Trabzon Cultural Route Festival.

In these workshops, topics such as the master-apprentice relationship and certification practices, academic education in traditional arts, the current structure and functioning of widespread cultural education courses, and the role of vocational and technical education in sustaining traditional arts were discussed by our artists, academics, experts, and representatives of non-governmental organizations involved in traditional arts and crafts.

These events, organized by the Traditional Arts Association, a partner of The Turkish Cultural Route Festival, are followed with great interest by our citizens, especially the heritage bearers. Open to all local heritage bearers and citizens, these events aim to preserve living heritage, transmit it to future generations, provide new inspiration to the younger generation, and raise awareness of our cultural riches. These events will also be held in other cities along The Turkish Cultural Route Festival route in the coming days.

As of today, a total of 6,345 artists and artisans are registered with our Ministry, including 2,269 in "Traditional Crafts," 644 in "Turkish Decorative Arts," 142 in "Theater," 1,496 in "Folk Poets and Minstrelsy," and 1,794 in "Local Artists."
